By using any services ("Services") provided by or originating from imgflip.com ("Imgflip"), you are agreeing to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Because some of our Services may be very specific, additional terms or product requirements (including age requirements) may apply. Additional terms will be available with the relevant Services, and those additional terms become part of your agreement with us if you use those Services.
Hotlinking
If you embed or "hotlink" an image hosted on Imgflip servers within another website, such as using the following markup <img src=''/> then you must include a hyperlink back to https://imgflip.com, or the main image page on imgflip.com (eg imgflip.com/i/abcd). If you create an image with Imgflip, it is preferred that you include a link to the generator page so that people will know how to make their own images from our generator as well. Since Imgflip does not currently charge you money for the bandwidth on your images, we think these link-backs are a reasonable request.
Images that are hotlinked and are not accompanied by one of the links mentioned above are subject to removal.
Spam
Do not spam. Spamming includes posting links exclusively to your own content or monetization, posting malware links, posting irrelevant content, posting lengthy or irrelevant "copypastas", and anything else that is clearly a detriment to the Imgflip community. Spam which is stylistic or just-for-fun such as copypastas is allowed in user-created streams if and only if the moderators of the streams explicitly allow it.
Conduct
In any content that you create or modify while using this website, do not discriminate against any sect, commit or condone illegal acts, advertise, harass others, or otherwise make it less fun for other people. Imgflip is a place to be creative and have fun! While Imgflip highly values freedom of expression, please express your opinions in a way that is kind and respectful to all people of the world, or if stating your opinion does not follow these terms, please keep it to yourself or post it elsewhere. Memes, comments, or other images whose sole purpose is to attack a person or group of people in a condemning and non-humorous way are subject to deletion, and the user account that posted such c
Memes, comments, or other images whose sole purpose is to attack a person or group of people in a condemning and non-humorous way are subject to deletion, and the user account that posted such content is also subject to deletion. In particular, please be careful when authoring content around sensitive subjects such as politics, religion, and race.
Imgflip is not a pornographic website
The Imgflip generators can be used for anything that does not violate these terms, but please set any pornographic images you create as "private", and then post them elsewhere if you wish to share. Any pornographic images that are not created with the "private" setting are subject to removal.
Age
You must be at least 13 years of age to use our Services. Content on Imgflip is not targeted to people under 13 years of age.
Media/Uploading
By uploading any type of media or other content (including but not limited to images, video, and audio) to Imgflip, or by pasting a url into the Imgflip GIF Maker or other Imgflip tools, you are agreeing that (i) doing so does not violate or infringe anyone else’s rights, (ii) you have the rights to use whatever content you are uploading or requesting, (iii) that you have the rights to modify that content in whichever ways you decide to modify it while using Imgflip, and (iv) if you make the original or edited content publicly available, other users of the Services can also use the content with the Service with no obligation to you.
Using our Services
You must follow any policies made available to you within the Services.
Don’t misuse our Services. For example, don’t interfere with our Services or try to access them using a method other than the interface and the instructions that we provide. You may use our Services only as permitted by law, including applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations. We may suspend or stop providing our Services to you if you do not comply with our terms or policies or if we are investigating suspected misconduct.
Using our Services does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in our Services or the content you access. You may not use content from our Services unless you obtain permission from its owner or are otherwise permitted by law. These terms do not grant you the right to use any branding or logos used in our Services. Don’t remove, obscure, or alter any legal notices displayed in or along with our Services.
