The Ministry of Defence deployed soldiers and provided machine guns to annihilate the birds. Only about 1,000 emus were killed and when the 'Great Emu War' was discussed in the Parliament, a representative stated that emus won the war"

But it’s worth remembering that the population of Australia is less than that of Australia. Plus they’re really scary.
