If this game released on the PS2 back in 2004, then it would've been alright for it's time. But for an early 2020's video game, it's so bad and underwhelming.
Like, even Sonic Forces at least had a story (a bad one, just like any other Sonic game story throughout the 2010's), dialogue, a customizable avatar, a literal Sanic shirt, a decent villain (Infinite the Jackal, AKA Mephiles II), above average level design, good OST and probably the best writing for Shadow ever since 2006 (I kinda understand Shadow's poor writing in Boom, but in the IDW comics it's UNACCEPTABLE)
So in conclusion, even my personal least favorite Sonic game is better than Yuji Naka's latest project. Words cannot explain how much I wish it wasn't.
