Rant:
I am currently typing at a rapid speed of 50 words per minute which is actually quite good for my age. I think that I should receive a medal for my efforts but there is no official medal for fast writing that I know of. Maybe there is, but if there was a medal it would be made out of plastic to be honest. Nobody deserves a real gold medal for typing. Are gold medals made of real gold? Is that why Olympians really want to achieve a gold medal every 4 years? I’m not sure, but getting a metal piece as your reward for 4 years work seems kind of stingy. Are the Olympics poor? Can they not afford real gold? I guess one medal would cost a lot and they need hundreds of medals for hundreds of sports so maybe that makes sense. Except synchronised swimming, you don’t deserve a medal for that. No offence to synchronised swimmers but they don’t really do anything, just swimming in circles. But weightlifters and those ring gymnasts put their life and muscles on the line. That’s talent, men and women in fancy suits swimming in circles are not. Also diving in the weirdest sport of all, imagine trying to make the smallest splash to win. How do you even judge that? Is there a team of judges? Can they be bribed? Is that why China always wins the diving portion and when Britain finally won, Team GB went nuts? Who knows. Also, when Olympians put their medal in their mouth and bite it, has anyone ever taken a bite out of the medal and made a dent? That would be funny and delicious. Imagine eating gold (or metal, who knows?) Would it taste good? I’ve heard of people eating 24 karat gold covered steaks which sound alright, maybe because that’s thin gold and medals are quite thick. I kind of want to cover a crisp in gold, I wanna see how golden covered crisps taste. Would it make it even more crunchy? Would it make it even more delicious? Not sure, only if the crisp was a certain flavour though. If the crisp was cheese and onion flavoured I might pass, but salt and vinegar seems okay, so does just cheese and barbecue. What’s the most expensive crisp? Maybe it's like 100 pounds, or more. I’m not sure. I should Google it maybe.
