Everyone got mad that he donated to Trump during the election: someone doxxed his address and then he retired.

I think Trump is a useless a-hole (debt, lack of control of the virus situation, just generally being stupid among many other things) and I think that Scott was wrong to support him in any way. I'd say that I lost respect for him but I didn't have respect in the first place, so honestly I don't give a crap.

I think all the hate was unnecessary, cause he originally donated to a democratic candidate that didn’t win the primary election, so it’s like he got stuck with two bad options. And that doxxing him was more toxic than him supporting Trump tbh, why send someone death threats because of a different political opinion?

I think that death threats are never warranted, but that doesn't mean a political opinion isn't bad. I also think there is a difference from giving someone money and just having some support for them, which is where I think it's screwed up. If he thought it was two **BAD** options (which in a lot of ways it was) he wouldn't have given Trump money.

Then again, I didn't really respect nor care about him or his series in the first place. So basically I think that people over-reacted but I still think that doesn't mean Scott is in the right for this particular instance.
