That depends on how many coders there are, their skill, and how much time they work on it. The people coding imgflip have lives outside of imgflip, and this might not be their main job.

I KNOW AND
I guess site moderation is only given to whom that can separate enough time for moderation
and if these site mods are not able to do this, then take their mod and give it to somebody else who is responsible
and we imgflipers have been requesting for these feature since months.

Site mods AREN’T the people who code imgflip. There is a separate coding stream where that is their job.
We don’t know how large the coding team is, and it’s very likely this is not their only job. With the low amount of adds here I doubt they can make enough money to support themselves completely.
Nothing is “fishy,” the coders do not have too give their entire lives too imgflip, or deliver a new update every day.
They are literally trying to hire a new developer right now, likely too deliver updates faster
