i did not see any of the older spiderman movies (only homecoming and no way home) so i did not know any of the characters that showed up including green goblin he is sususus tho i mean honestly the entire movie i was trying to figue out wth happened

so basically Spider Man killed Mysterio, and Mysterio revealed Spider Man's identity as Peter Parker before Mysterio dies, but because of that he was seen as the bad guy because they see Mysterio as a hero while he uses drones to imitate fake monsters that does real life damage, and so, Spider Man goes to see Doctor Strange, a fellow avengers to wipe everyone's memory of him ( doesnt include the people who knows him before he killed Mysterio ), but the spell quickly turned dangerous so Doctor Strange locked all the spell inside a tiny box, after that Spider Man went to a high way to meet with a person that can help spider man so that his friends that are connected to him can be received to MIT, there, he encountered Doctor Octopus, who came from a different universe, he fights with Doctor Octopus and managed to take control of Doctor Octopus's tentacles, then appeared Green Goblin, who almost hit Spider Man with his glider but Doctor Strange Saves Him using a magic portal and locks up Doctor Octopus in an invisible barrier, along with Green Lizard whom Doctor Strange encountered in the sewers ( all of the villain in this movie are all from different universes than peter, but some villains recognize the other villain and are from the same universe, annnnnnd i dont even wanna explain more, too complicated

yes, i know about mysterio etc, i saw homecoming and far from home, but i didnt know who green goblin, doctor octopus, also the sand guy and all the other guys from other universes were bc i hadnt seen any of the old spiderman movies

green goblin, octopus, and sand guy came from the same universe as the spider man that is played by Tobey Maguire, while lizard guy and electro came from came from the same universe as spider man that is played by andrew garfield

That scene where green goblin is having an argument with a mask and then he smashes it and then it laughs at him is more the stuff i was confused about tho.

supposedly he actually has a split personallity, one that is the actual green goblin and one that is a man named Norman Osborn
