(This is the actual scene from the movie)
In Gojira (1954) when Gojira is rampaging though Tokyo, a mother is telling her children "you can see your father soon, we'll join him in heaven"
(In the American version Godzilla king of the monsters [1956] the following is said]
"Just close your eyes, in a few minutes We'll be with daddy. Just close your eyes and we'll be with daddy again"
That was the only reassuring thing the mother could tell her kids in on of Gojira's rampage showing the absolute horror from that person's perspective. An indomitable beast laying waste to the world and your only hope is to wait for the inevitable death Gojira will bring you

Well that’s d a r k

It is dark, the original movie was a lesson about the dangers of Nuclear testing and a reminder of the U.S bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945
