My party has a rogue wood elf who likes socks, an incredibly stupid goliath barbarian, a dwarf barbarian with a fear of cake, a ranger, and me, a kenku wizard with absolutely crappy stats and hit points

so as the only healer and main "melee" damage dealer. I get yelled at alot

eventually our dm had to smite one of them when they tried to eat a flumph

Good. My party hated me for some reason when I played a high elf rouge. And I wasn't the stereotypes edge lord, in fact with how they treated me (constantly casting harmful spells) I had to stealth into the shadows. And our cleric charged me 60 platinum for a 1st level heal.

I'm treated fairly well because most of my spells make me an insane damage dealer and I have the lowest hp in the party

although we swap dms constantly, so sometimes we get a quest where we explore the underdark to rescue a team member and sometimes we just randomly all fall down a hole and have to fight two flame skulls at second level (true story)
