They do, but they’re also part of the same trade partnership, BRICS, along with Brazil, Russia, and South Africa. India also tends to be a US ally, so really they could go either way if it came down to WWIII or sit it out entirely if China doesn’t provoke them.

India not so much. India is pro Russia right now because they need Russian oil and coal. They're not gonna destroy their own economy to help out an eastern European country they never heard of.
India is traditionally a good friend of the west and the USA, due to their long bloody "warm" cold war with Pakistan and China (both historically enemies of the west.)
Of course predicting whose side everyone will be on in ww3 is pure conjecture, until they start shooting at you.

We won't know who's on who's side for a little while. If China stays out of WW3, content to sell guns and ammo to both sides and make trillions, India has an incentive to stay "neutral" to avoid drawing China into the fray.
If China chooses sides, India will have to join whoever isn't with China. They don't want to be sandwiched between their two biggest enemies (China and Pakistan) if shit goes nuclear, so they'd have to join the west and take out some of the "bad guys" to increase their own chance of survival.

Can the USA trust Germany or Japan (currently our best friends) in a world war?
Of course not. They have their own "agendas."
Can Taiwan or South Korea (currently our best friends) trust the USA in a world war?
Of course not. If China takes em out, they're on their own, because we don't have enough firepower to fight in eastern Europe & the south China sea at the same time.
All the rules are off the table, if the war's endgame includes half the world's population getting taken out in nuclear war, famine and disease.

There's no polite way to put this: Iran, Iraq, Kurdistan etcetera all hate Israel. That's the only thing the Muslims agree on. There is no Israeli base in Kurdistan. Nor does anyone, including Iran, believe there is.
