what happened?

my mom switched out my hamster's bedding for a cheaper one that smelled weird and felt scratchy and when we realized angelica (the hamster) was allergic to it my mom said she wouldn't take her to the vet and that she would wait until tomorrow to get new bedding.
when we got home she was curled up in her food bowl, holding a piece of bedding she had been chewing on. her jaw was broken, she had vomit all down her stomach area, and she had been chewing on her feet.
i didn't wanna bury her in our apartment complex (neighborhood kids), and cremation is too expensive according to my mom, so we're preserving the body until we can find a good spot
the way you preserve bodies (temporarily) is by freezing them
meaning i have my dead hamster in my freezer
which is kinda weird but it's better than letting her body decay

but the allergy still doesn't explain how she broke her jaw, or why she was found in the process of eating her bedding when she was literally sitting on top of a big pile of food

that makes me wanna cry 👍.

mom doesn't want me to look into the exact cause of death, but the circumstances are really suspicious
and if it turns out the bedding had something in it that shouldn't have been there, i could get the bedding company into huge trouble for advertising a product that does the opposite of what it's supposed to

i named her after angelica schulyer, the sister in law of alexander hamilton
wait i just realized i showed her to a ton of people on amrev tumblr before she died because i thought they would think she was cute
including the official accounts for alexander hamilton and other people from that time period
how am i gonna tell the official angelica schulyer that the hamster i named after her died the night after i showed her a picture
