how is losing an Eevee worse than losing a shiny

Because:
1. To me, it's the cutest Pokemon
And 2. An Eevee itself isn't good at battle but it can evolve into so many things that are excellent at battle.
2.1. It takes a while to evolve 8 of them but it's worth it.
Also, should I make more of these?
