My dad was watching a family reality show with my mom and a trans women was on there and he said "God, that's disgusting, he shouldn't be allowed to be anywhere near kids". I asked "What? What's wrong? What did she do?" and he looked at me as if I was nuts "That's a man, and he's pretending to be woman, that's disgusting and he should be put in jail". I love my parents but holy sh*t if the transphobia and homophobia wasn't rampant in my household....
