Alright, I'm going to break this down.
Also please don't hate or ban me for this - I'm not trying to hate on catgender or you.
This is a xenogender. Most xenogenders seem to be secondary genders, like Gamegender. And the fact that there's different variations according to non-binary and binary genders proves this further.
It's fine to get euphoria from wearing cat ears and saying 'nya', and I'm not trying to hate on that, but I have a firm belief that this is like many other xenogenders. It is a secondary gender.
And I have further application to this - Cats aren't catgender. Dogs aren't doggender. The attributes are attributes, and identifying with them is completely fine. Once again, I am not trying to hate on you for being catgender or anything remotely close to that - I am just stating that, like most xenogenders, it is secondary. Alright, let's talk about the attributes now. Identifying with attributes is completely fine, but it isn't really a gender identity. That's kind of like saying 'furry' is a gender. It's not, but it's a feasible xenogender, like demicatgirl. Demifemfurry also sounds like a xenogender.
And now to get around to noungenders. It's like identifying as a wolf because you're loyal - like, no. Just because you're loyal doesn't mean you're a wolf. Nor does euphoria when wearing cat ears and saying 'nya' mean you are a cat. But there's a flipside to this - catgender. Not cat. Circling back to furries, identifying with cats can be a part of your identity. This is also what dreamgender is actually supposed to be, but we'll just gloss over that. It's like spirit animals. So when it comes down to it, is catgender real? Yes. Is it a gender? Kind of. Is it a main identification? I'm gonna have to say that's a no. Of course, I would like to be open-minded on this, so if you have anything valuable to add, I'd love to hear it.
