Ik

They don't have lots of torque tho so i can't really design a truck engine with it

oil pumps use the rotary concept, or atleast some, my dads old tubbed ranger had a rotary oil pump.

i was thinking about trying to invent the X16, a V8 but with a bottom half of 8 cylinders as well. but that was shot because the oil would ride in the bottom of the pistons

*2 stroke

I wanna do a humongous inline 4 that makes as much power and torque as a chevy L5P

Truck engine

Like a twin turbo and a good size stroke. I'm talking lots of fuel efficient horsepower and torque

ofcourse you gotta boost it, thats why i hate 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders, if you build it you have to run some kind of a boost to beat something, cant ever run n/a

Some 6 cylinders run n/a just fine *GMC 7.8 V6*

yeah but you get my point, 99% need a boost

Yeah

You're used to gasoline engines, i'm a big diesel guy so boost ain't a problem

I could also design a bigass V10 or V12 diesel but those might be too big for a truck, so a big block diesel might be the choice here. Long stroke, large pistons, big cast iron block. Just huge displacement. In that case a big 4 or 6 cylinder will make lots of power bc there's so much displacement

what do you want it to do? pull stuff or race? longer stroke is more torque, shorter stroke is more horsepower, if you want to race it do a balance of the two, if you want to pull stuff then long stroke

Lots of pulling. I'm only gonna be going at top speed of like 85 mph anyways. I'd build a different engine/car for racing

ah yeah then short stroke

2 vehicles:

1 big truck with lots of torque (yes i'm f**kin insane)
1 racing vehicle with lots of top speed (preferably a sleeper)

gotcha, my first truck (if its a ranger, preferable obs squarebody 1980s style) i wanna drive for a bit and use until i have enough money to buy another car good on gas mileage, then i'll v8 swap the ranger and have a street truck, probably 302, 351w, 408 or 427w swap it

My 1st truck is kinda variable but itll likely be a Silverado or Tahoe. When i have the money i'll buy a 2018 chevy silverado 2500hd/3500hd Z71 high country (top of the line basically, long bed not dually) and later on i'll buy a smaller truck, like a GMC syclone.

Funny how we're friends and rivals at the same time

Can't decide who wins chevy vs ford, but in the end having a good time with our trucks and each other as friends is the winner
