The chicken's name was Mike btw, and his owner was Lloyd Olsen, and the only reason he died when he did was because he choked in a hotel room while on tour. Before you ask how he ate he was fed with an eyedropper, putting the food into his exposed throat. there is actually a Mike the headless chicken festival in Fruita, Colorado every year, even a statue of Mike.
