Trump apparently still adheres to such childhood beliefs (which most kids grow out of by the age of 7 or 8, just as they did with Santa Claus) solely because he's constantly surrounded by sychophants willing to tell him whatever he wants to believe rather than the actual truth. Those that do the latter are automatically deemed to be traitors and RINOs by him.
