How to play: Go into the kitchen, towards one of the counters, and put the salt in the circle, just big enough to fit the apple and the candle. Now, place the candle in the center of this circle, and the apple on the left. After this, light the candle, and say the word "Nightmare" at least 10 times. If the candle goes out, Nightmare is now in the room with you.
For the first part of this game, you can ask Nightmare 5 questions. He can give you an honest answer, or lie to you. The last question must be, no matter what, "Do you want to play hide and seek?" This will start the second part of the game.
For the second part, tell Nightmare what your prize will be if you win, and then, tell him to count to 20. From there, you must leave the room with the apple, and the water, and hide. If you make it to 6 AM without him finding you, you win and the prize will be on the counter after 2 days.

So now you might be thinking: Well, what am I supposed to do if nothing happens? Well, there's a second variation.
If nothing happens, blow out the candle, take the apple, and leave the room. Afterwards, put the apple on the windowsill in your room. You will know if the game has started after 30 minutes if you see that the apple's gone. You now need to stay completely still until 6 AM. Once that happens, Nightmare will leave you alone, and you are free to try the game again the next night.
