The only thing that prevented Trump successfully pulling off a coup d'etat in the last election in order to illegitimately hold onto power was due to the honesty and integrity of every Republican governmental official nationwide that refused to be corrupted, intimidated and/or capituate to Trump's illegal dictates, including Pence during his ceremonial role reciting the Electoral Vote count. That doesn't, however, ever excuse his years long subservience to Trump's many other illegalities but he did do the right thing here.
