He hums quietly as he watches the birds. He notices another presence and glances up at her.

He smiles and waves back.

"Hello." he said as a bird landed on his shoulder

"Hi."

"What's your name?" he asked as he fed the bird on his shoulder a small, piece of bread.

"Jazzy."

"That's a lovely name." he said as he pet the bird "I'm Mateo." he said.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." he said as the bird flew off.

"..."

“Hold the damn phone.. Didn’t you die?”

He looked up at him, confused "...Die..?" he asked quietly

He smiled at the birds and noticed the nearby presence. He lifted his head up and looked at her, tilting his head, confused

?: how tf are you still alive!?!?

He looked up at her, looking a bit confused "...Die..?" he asked

?: you were on the plane and you crashed and died???

He frowned for a bit "I...I don't remember that..." he said and looked down, as if trying to remember.

?: bro what, You were supposed to die in a plane crash, How did you survive??

"I don't remember the plane crashing..." he said and looked up "All I remember...is going on the plane...I forgot the reason and then everything went black.." he said

?: maybe amnesia?? One thing im confused about is how you even survived.

He glanced at a bird that landed on his shoulder "Amnesia...is the most likely solution.." he muttered and looked down "And I don't know how to respond to me not dying.." he said quietly

?: *sits down next to him* what's your name??

He smiles "Mateo." he said and watched as the bird landed on his finger "What's yours?" he asked

She stares at him "Naki" ....you a fan of birds. she asked

He nods as the bird chirped happily "That's a lovely name...and birds seem to like me more then I tend to like them.." he said

She turns to face him "I think I've seen you before, but I can't seem to remember where," she says.

He looks back at her and smiles "I barely remember anything, so I don't think I'd be able to help you remember." he said and stroked the birds's feathers softly

I know that!.... What are things you do remember though??" she asked

He tilted his head and thought for a bit "I know my name, duh." he said and smiled "A sister." he said and smiled sadly "Mostly everything before my flight...but maybe I forgot more after the crash.." he muttered

Sister?" she asked then looks down.

He nods "Younger sister. Her name is Jinx." he said and smiled sadly "I haven't seen her in two years..." he muttered

"I have an older sister, names Siren," she says...I hate her" she whispers under her breath

He raised a brow "Why do you hate her?" he asked, looking at another bird that landed on his shoulder

She turns to face him "Shit did I say that out loud!!!! " she blushes and turns the other way not facing him.

He smiles "You're not the best whisperer.." he said and laughed

"Sorry, it's just that... even if I tell you you'd probably be scared or something," she says.

He smiled "I've heard a lot of bad stuff, especially growing up." he said and stroked the bird's feathers "I can handle it." he said

She looked at him "ever since our father was murdered she believes it's her fault and now she takes this useless burden and brings it on to me, now she's a murderer believing she will some sort of "forgiveness" ...I have to watch and follow her do this" she explained

He looked at the birds as she tells the story. He nods "I see.." he muttered

She looked down again "sorry if I scared you" she says

"You didn't scare me." he said calmly and smiled softly at her, looking indeed calm.

*She stares at him*

He chuckled "Are you still trying to figure out how you know me..?" he asked quietly as more birds landed on him

she blinks to reality "Yeah, I swear I've seen you before!!" She says

"I wish I could help or say something. But my brain is messed up right now, so you may have to figure this one out yourself.." he said and looked at her, then smiled

she sighs "great now I'm getting a headache just by thinking to hard" she complained

"Don't think about it too much.." he said as he threw crumbs of bread on the floor, the birds jumping off of him and pecking at the crumbs "I don't think I was that important anyway." he said softly

"True, can I rest on your lap... please" she asked

He blinked a few times and smiled gently, then nodded "Mhm." he said quietly

"thanks," she says *lays back on his lap*

"No problem." he says and looks back at the birds, smiling

"your so nice" she says

He nods "I've been told when I was younger...even now that I'm way too nice...even if people don't deserve it." he said gently and smiled

"i wish i were you~" she says

He laughed "A lot of people tell me that too." he chuckled "I'm way too forgiving and too kind to people who don't deserve it." he looked back up "My sister would say, 'Mateo, you are too kind, I've never once seen you upset.'..." he smiled

"Your sister sounds fun" she says

"We're total opposites." he said and laughed "I'm a forgiving person and way too kind. She doesn't trust people too easily and doesn't forgive easily either. She's a bit cold and sarcastic." he said and smiled

"She sounds REALLY fun then" she smiles.

He chuckles "Well it's been 2 years...I don't know if she's changed." he shrugged

"i hope she hasn't changed" she says

He smiled "Hopefully. She also never liked parties, which surprised me a bit because of her personality." he pointed out and he chuckled

"Haha kinda like Siren..." she realizes what she said.

He looked at her "Reminds you of her?" he asked

Yeah...she doesn't like parties that much" she says

He nods "Jinx also dislikes drinking...she's had an incident from drinking so she stays away from it." he said and frowned slightly

"oh i hope she was okay" she says

"She's ok. She ended up alright." he said and his smile appeared again

"oh thats good" she says

"Mhm." he said and leaned his head back a bit and sighed

"you okay am I being annoying" she says

"Hm? Oh no, not at all." he said and looked at her, then gave his usual smile

" okay but if your feeling uncomfortable, tell me" she says

"Mhm!" he said and smiled again, then looked back at the birds

"Do you like birdwatching" she asked

He chuckled "Not really. I just like coming here because I don't like being stuck at home. Birds like me more then I like them." he said quietly

"I think you'll do great at birdwatching" she says

He laughed a bit "That's not really my thing." he said and smiled slightly, looking away

"hmm what do you like to do then" she asked

He smiled "Painting." he said and looked at a nearby tree where all the birds flew to

"Really, what do you like to paint~" she asked.

He leaned his head back a bit and smiled "I like painting flowers..." he said quietly

"painting flowers, hm suits you," she says.

He laughed "It does, doesn't it?" he said and snickered

*she stares at him dead in the eyes*

He smiled "Like what you see?" he asked jokingly and laughed

*blushes* man shut up" she said while laughing

He laughed again "Well you're staring at me. Are you still trying to figure it out?" he asked and tilted his head

"No, something else came up my mind but I'm not gonna tell you"

"And it involves staring at me?" he asked and smiled

Yep :) " she answered

He laughed "Really? Well, if that's what it takes to think." he said and snickered, then looked at the tree

*keeps staring at him*

He looked back at her and laughed again, then smiled at her and looked back at the tree

"your cute when you laugh" she blurted out

He looked back at her and smiled "Why thank you~!" he said and snickered
