To be fair, when the IRS has been with-holding 27% (and at times more) of check people's entire adult working life they would like to get some of that money back. It's a lot of money, and the Government has been raiding the SS fund to pay for other things, as well.

90% of people collecting social security paid more in than they get out (if adjusted for inflation...)

I know that was true for my grandparents, but I doubt that will be true for people born after 2000.

There won't be any social security for us, cause the government keeps borrowing from it, and less money will be going in as the jobs keep racing to the third world...

I see massive tax hikes, them pushing up the age to 78 since people are living longer, (and working longer) and doing away with any cost of living increases. And hopefully I will be in the ground before that happens.

They gotta just remove the $250,000 limit. If I gotta pay 6% of ALL my money, it wouldn't hurt other people to pay 6% of ALL there money, not just the first 250k a year.
It's easy to fix social security if you can do math. Of course, politicians can't, so that won't happen.

I read somewhere that Google makes shit-tons of money off ad revenue and selling leads and payed ZERO taxes last year. Write-offs. I threw up in my mouth when I read it.

Yeah, they have accountants to move all the money around so they can claim to be reinvesting all profits in the company and therefore making no money. Of course you just have to look at the multi-millionaires running the company to see they're turning plenty of profit.

If the US ever went to a flat tax system (that the Democrats claim is so regressive), say 5% across the board on everyone, business enterprises included there would be no national debt. But that will happen when pigs fly.

Good idea. But our Government doesn't do good ideas...

Some people got money to burn like that, spend $80 grand to restore a car that original new price was $6000. Must be nice.
