No it’s not, the book Shadows of Reach is really the only prequel for halo infinite and what the banish want, their might be some other ones but I don’t quite know
HW2 is mainly a sequel to HW, more then a prequel to infinite, HW2 introduces you to the banish if you haven’t read any books

I haven’t read too many but I’ve seen videos explaining what happens

I started back in 2010 but really started to learn lore from books around late 2019

Halo 3, reach, CE, ODST,4, 5, 2
I didn’t get H5 and mcc with halo 2 till Christmas 2020

I’ve only seen breakdowns and playthroughs of HW and HW2, never played myself tho
