Any suggestions or provisions?

In order to vote, one must have
-Minimum of 5 posts in IP
-At least 1 post within the last month (prevents users that are no longer active from voting)
-At least 1 post older than a week (prevents users from hopping in at the last second with no background in the stream)
-At least 2 posts with a week or more in between them (prevents users from mag dumping posts to qualify for voting)

Just an idea :)

At the very least 1 vote older than a week before election. 1 within the month would be stronger too

Maybe a active user roll call once a month and listed it as a theme day, in stream description and website

I'd still say there ought to be 2 posts with at least a week between them. The minimum of 5 posts isn't as important I don't think.

I dunno about a DMV cutoff. There were a lot of people that are active in the stream this last election that didn't get their ID until the last minute.

New system so it was bound to happen, would require more advertising

How would that work?

Pick a date, add it to description. make it a theme day with advertisements leading to and on. Be a congress or presidential post, could also use it for polling or projections. Reminders to use dmv or compare list too or to fit within those other posting time requirements
