100 and A+ is better than A+, you can get 99 and have an A+. Disappointing 99 is the worst mark for “perfect” people

Asian parents be like, "Your teacher say you excelling in math. Now I don't have a dictionary but I'm pretty sure that means faliure. Where's the extra 1% in your grade?"

The extra 1% is not extra. It depends on the amount of marks. But there could be a test with bonus marks tho. I just mentioned that 99 is disappointing because you would feel that you’ve gone perfect except one thing, so you get disappointed for coming second best in class
