*she had a panicked look in her eye.*

Huh.. oh Pearl.. what are you doing here?

Pearl: My Clarity, I am your pearl! I have to be with you everywhere you go!

I’m sorry I didn’t tell you I had left.. I just wanted some time to myself..

Pearl: Oh Im so sorry my Clarity. I can leave and give you some time?

Oh no it’s fine.. I’ve been almost for some time now..

Pearl: ill just wait over here your clarity.

Thank you.. it’s just that my step mom.. she isn’t really the leader of this kingdom.. it’s my responsibility and I can’t keep letting her rule it for me.. not that she’ll listen to me though

Pearl: Would you like me to check the bed?

Oh no.. I just meant the cut, I’ll live though..

Pearl: Would you like me to find some cream for the cut?

Kai: *looks increasingly upset*

Pearl: She will back off instantly as long as we have the footage

Kai: *sits on bed*

It’s all everyone sees.. like “oh it’s her highness looking beautiful as always” and I always hear the maids talking about how I’ll surpass her beauty one day.. although the scar might make them like me even more-

Pearl: It would be okay i guess…

Cress: Thank you.. I’m probably gonna head to bed

Cress: Why don’t you get some sleep-

Pearl: I do not need sleep to stay productive your clarity. Gems aren’t made to eat, drink, or sleep like organics…

Cress: Oh.. well, I’ll see you in the morning.. could you make me some Hot chocolate before I wake up?

Pearl: Of course Your Clarity!

Cress: Thank you.. *she falls asleep*

Pearl: *goes to the balcony and looks out the window*

*asleep*

*pearls comes in with some hot chocolate*

*wakes up* Good morning Pearl.. oh thanksb

There is a knock on the door
Cress: *sips* Oh.. who could be visiting this early-

*pearl opens the door* Hello?

A guard comes in about the same age as Cress
??: Cress you in here?
Cress: Kai-?
Kai: C-can I come in?
Cress: Oh of course!

Pearl: *lets the guard in*

Kai: *walks to her bedside and hugs her*
Cress: Kai-!
Kai: I-im sorry I was just worried-
Cress: *hugs back* It’s ok-

Pearl: *leaves the room so the6 can have time together*

Cress gets served breakfast
Queen Levana: How’d you sleep?
Cress: ok..
Queen Levana: Good as we have another execution to watch today..
The queen always knew that these executions bothered her but she always wanted her to watch them with her
Cress: Ok- *keeps eating*

Pearl: *shudders if the thought of execution*

Cress finishes eating and asks to be excused the Queen says yes and she gets up to leave as Kai comes to her side again

Pearl: *follows Cress*

Cress: I get home finally and she makes me watch an execution.. I would rather a suitor come over..
Kai: I’ll be there as I am everytime Your Highness as will Pearl, you don’t have to watch

Pearl: But i must follow Princess Cress! I am her pearl of course!

Kai: And you will be at her highnesses side during it all

Pearl: *nods*

Cress: *walks into her room and she closes the door after them walking to her changing fold again* Remind me not to barf during the execution- *Kai covers his eyes*

*pearl looks away*

Cress: *steps back* Can we get some tea?
Kai: Oh yeah I’m feeling some tea right now
Cress slips into a glamour of a girl with black hair and a white dress
Cress: I have to use my glamour regularly.. only for a bit though
Kai: She still looks like you, at least I can see it

Pearl: When do we tell the queen?

Cress: I’m not sure

Pearl: We could tell her before the execution.

Cress: That may be the best time..

Pearl: *nods*

Cress: Do you have the tapes?

Pearl: *a light comes from here eye gen showing a footage of the queen attacking Cress* Yes i do!

Kai: Wait, can I see it?

Pearl: Yes let me play it again.

*she replays the footage*

Queen Levana notices her walking in
*she keeps walking all the way up to her wing*
Queen Levana follows her in the wing “Where did you go you stupid girl!!?
*she keeps her chin up unanswering*

Pearl: *listens but stays silent and follows behind*

Queen Levana stands infront of her and pulls out her knife “I’ll make your “beautiful face” scarred if you don’t tell me..”
*her face wavers but she composes herself* “I’m sorry but I would rather keep my secrets..”

Pearl: *observes the knife*

“I’ll give you 3 chances” *brings the knife to her left cheek touching the knife to it* She hisses “Tell me…”
*she doesn’t speak*
“1st chance..” *runs the knife down her cheek cutting her, Cress can feel the warm blood dripping onto her dress*

Pearl suddenly pounces on the queen. she summons a sword from her gemstone and points it on her neck.

Pearl: I'll give you only one chance to apologize to my clarity.

Queen Levana looks at Pearl nonchalantly “And I’ll give you one chance to step back or be replaced..”

Pearl: *looks towards Princess Cress*

Cress looks at Pearl and decides to save her own skin as well as Pearls “I was in the forest ok.. now bring the knife from my face please..”
Queen Levana does as asked and remarks “See darling.. that wasn’t hard was it… if I found out you did contrary then will be back in this situation” She struts out

Pearl: *desummons the sword*

*goes to take a shower*

And I’m glad to have a Friend like you..

Pearl: Thank you my clarity.

No.. thank you Pearl.. you’re not gonna take me back are you?

Pearl: That is up to you

I don’t want to go now but I’ll have to later.. I can’t let her assume control over my kingdom

Pearl: Yes, you must make sure your step mother doesn't do anything crazy...

You know what.. it would be better that I went now.. *she lets a glamour settle over her it still looks like her but not dirty or anything like that* I-I’m ready..

Pearl: Follow me My Clarity.

*she helps Princess Cress get back to the castle*

*she raises her chin and walks with royalty ignoring the gasps and muttering*

Pearl: *silently follows*

Cress: Thank you Pearl, Kai you better get back to your post your shift is about to start
Kai: I’m your personal guard remember?
Cress: Oh yeah, well come on let’s go

Pearl: *follows behind Cress*

Kai: *walks next to her*
Cress: *does her hair while she is walking* We must go down to breakfast
Kai: Uhm, your highness- you have a scar.. aren’t you gonna cover it up
Cress: Oh.. I forgot, but no I won’t

Pearl: She wants to show others she isn’t the perfect girl everyone thinks she is…

Cress: *walks to the dining hall*
Queen Levana: Morning Cress..
Cress: Good morning.. step mom-
*waiters come to assist her*

Cress: *motions for both to come to her side*
Kai: *walks over*

Cress wipes the remaining blood from her face “I’m sorry Pearl.. I shouldn’t have not said anything..”

Pearl: No, I’m sorry your clarity….I should have not pounced on the queen…She probably is now day dreaming of shattering me for good.

“I’d never let her do that- you were trying to protect me is all..”

Pearl: Yes. But we may want to keep clear of the queen’s bad side…just in case.

Cress: Of course..

Pearl: *smiles nervously*

Cress: I’m gonna change out of this and clean myself up..

Pearl: Alright. Would you like me to prepare some tea your clarity?

Cress: Oh.. thank you, I’d love some-

Pearl: *quickly goes to make Cress’s favourite tea*

Kai: Why didn’t you tell me you were leaving.. I could have come with you-
Cress: oh Kai- I-I never meant to hurt your feelings-

Pearl: *waiting*

Cress: Pearl.. *gets up from bed* You can come in

Pearl: Alright. *she comes in*

Cress: You didn’t have to leave, I’m sure kai doesn’t mind
Kai: Oh I don’t mind, I wanted to welcome you back and tell you not to go again-

Pearl: *nods*

Cress: *she walks to her changing fold and says* “My mom is still going to want me to resume my normal tasks *she changes into a dress as Kai covers his face a little red* So I’ll act like I didn’t leave at all

Pearl: *also cover’s face*

Cress: *she walks out in a knee length dress looking fantastic* You can uncover your face
Kai: *uncovers* Beautiful as ever Your Highness.. *bows*
Cress: *puts her crown on* Modest as well *smiles*

*pearl uncovers her face* You look beautiful your clarity!

Cress changes into some jeans and a crop top with a flannel button up and walks out “Behold the most normal thing I have-“
Kai: It looks great on you *he says as she takes the miniature crown off*

Pearl: it looks amazing your clarity!

Thank you Pearl, I just realized- when the execution goes live everyone in the kingdom will see my scar then they’ll question me- ugh more unwanted attention
Kai: at least you can tell the truth
Cress: No, I can but she’ll find a way to make it seem like she didn’t do it

Pearl: Maybe I can be of assistance your clarity?

Cress: What did you have in mind?

Pearl: I have security footage

Cress: Oh.. wait you’re right! But if it goes out they’ll know it’s me- but then if she is revealed as not the real queen then- oh god..
Kai: You’ll become the queen.. but you’ll do great
Cress: I-I don’t know-

Pearl: We don't have to reveal it to everyone...We can just blackmail her.

Cress: You’re a genius Pearl!! *hugs her*
