Was it a slow read or quick one?

Well it was for English class so I didn't have much of a choice XD
My teacher only had us read maybe a third of the book, scattered here and there, so I'd say really slow.

My 9th grade we had to read a Tale of Two Cities. I wasn't into it at the time but it sounds better than your assignment.

I tried reading Milton's Paradise Lost and couldn't get past the Elizabethan English. I just assumed anything else written in that period would be equally unintelligible without a half page of footnotes at bottom of each.
