anybody else have this problem?

Exactly! And this is the longest I’ve ever crushed on ANYone. Usually my crushes fade within 1-2 WEEKS

i just have 0 social skills, so i think i was overwhelmed/happy he wanted to be friends with me in the first place

Lol can’t relate. The last time we talked I was cleaning up from a class party (our school is tiny so everyone was on one side of the cafeteria while me and a few other people were sweeping)and he offered to do it for me so I could enjoy the party. Thing is, he’s on Student Council so he’s obligated to, plus he’s just really nice and unbelievably polite he’s so sweet so I know it’s nothing personal 😭 and then he gave me headpats. We were playing duck duck goose-

So anyways yeah can’t relate cause I’m not friends with him even though I really want to be which yes like you contradicts my whole having a crush thing
