basically, in an interview with Dr Baker, 049-j tried to cure a subject's sore throat (he called it the pestilence) by taking a shoe out of his doctor's bag and then proceeding to bash the subject's throat

well, if there dead then they cant have a sore throat. so he technically cured him.
