They get turned into titans. So either Mikasa's gonna marry Levi or she'll stay single.
My point is you c a n n o t insult Hajime's work- like this whole plot, the storyline, the art style everything is fit so f**king perfectly you literally cannot make it better. I mean yeah it's sad as f**k but j e s u s it really makes you think. Phycological shit. Like, if you change anything from any season the ending would be different, this is the best outcome. Let's say Eren never ate his father, none of this would have happened, but how long are they gonna keep living like this? Reiner and Birth Control would still have come, Eren & Armin would have died without Eren's powers, Mikasa would have killed herself, probably, and everything would be ruined.
So this is the b e s t way, the b e s t ending, Hajime could have written. No matter what you change.
