I don’t know. In the story, after Baldr was killed a series of events was set in motion culminating in Ragnarök; a time when many gods were killed and most of the world was destroyed. This facilitated the repopulation of the earth by humans. Perhaps when two non-binary people are under the mistletoe they can be reminded of Loki and remember that modern civilization exists in part because of the contributions of queer people. And then they can f**k.
