hes saying that if somebody gives u advice that seems stupid, but it actually becomes useful, than know the advice is smart rather than dumb (This doesn't go for all situations).

I fcking hate it when t happens. Especially when my dad says it because it usually comes true a day later... I'm not kidding:
"Friends backstab you in the end." A day later i got into a fight with my friend
"Friends will never be there for you." During that period of time, when I was/am depressed that's still going on. It's true.
"Extra credit pays off." I noticed something that no one else did in class after doing a sheet that no one else did.
"Don't believe in your friends. Only your family, they'll be the ones who are there for you in the end." It hasn't happened yet, but it did happen one time for like a day. Whatever my dad says, always hits hard like a stab to the back. I hate it

The list goes on and on, but I feel like you would've gotten the message by now. Also, I get into fights quite a lot at school defending people, and my dad asks why I don't defend my brother Jake, who bullies me EVERY SINGLE DAY. The first one about friends backstabbing you hit hard. Its kinda what i live by now I guess. He hates my friends for some reason.
