There's plenty of food on this planet for everyone, and it doesn't take a lot of people to grow it. However, given our destruction of the environment, that won't be true for long. And that destruction is due to our opinion that every person should spend most of their time working to convert the natural world into money.

What we miscall "civilization" has been our choice as a species that only our most destructive members should survive. Instead of survival of the fit or survival of the adaptable, we've chosen survival of those who consume the most. Narcissistic selection. We are death machines.
