That's because The Empire were the good guys. Look at EU or Disneycanon; The Republic is a miserable failure before and after The Empires rule. Lucas tried to tell a story in which he shows that Fascism is bad, he ultimately ended up disproving his own theory.
I think the point is actually that corruption is everywhere. The sense of good and evil is so controversial that there are no definite sides

Think you're missing the point. Sidious was accurate in saying "Good" is a point of view. Any philosopher will tell you that. It depends on where your moral compass points north: Are you altruistic? Or, are you egocentric?

I saw that video. The Empire tightened security, improved trade routes, and overall just made the galaxy better. I know that in the movies, it's SHOWN to be all evil and fascist, but That's because it's in the perspective of the rebellion.
