You don't know that tho.

Just because you haven’t seen something doesn’t mean it’s not real tho

You could use that for e v e r y t h i n g dude.

And I used to believe in God lmao- I just stopped-
Every thing I've done is thanks to me. There was no one to guide me, praying felt stupid, my choices my life is my OWN. There is no one uP tHerE that's helping me in any way.

Because if there was, maybe things in my life would have turned out differently 😐 I didn't get love from anyone besides living people.

yes, i know, but by that rule then history can’t be trusted because we haven’t seen it. And since most ancient history or middle age history has God involved, it’s not much different believing that at least one God exists that is believing that, say, Alexander the Great existed. They were both written about by historians.
Also we don’t have to see God’s love for us immediately. I have not seen love from above in over seven years, and don’t see too much from people either, except very very few. But my personal experience doesn’t dictate reality. There was a time where I didn’t know what affection was. It didn’t mean it didn’t exist. Same with God. And if God is real and we deny it, we’re hosed when we die. If He’s not real and we believe in Him, what do we have to lose?

my point is
you didnt go back in time to see if they (god) is real? so litterally unless you have physical proof its bs to me oK?

but couldn’t u apply that to caesar and alexander the great? people wrote about them, but we haven’t gone back in time and seen them ourselves.
also, the Bible kinda does say that because of sin, nobody can even see God without dying, so God would be doing us a favor to not show Himself. So if He does exist, by that specific search for proof, nobody would ever find Him.
I understand much of the push nowadays and why people don’t believe in Him. I myself don’t always want there to be a God. But what I want has no bearing on reality. I wouldn’t want a devil to exist either, and the existence of one almost seems obvious now. I am watching the world right now being sneakily taken over by a savage and murderous evil that, if you ask me, almost proves Satan exists (matter of fact, if you’re interested, I could give you reasons I believe God exists based on many “coincidences” or institutions that suggest an evil spirit, specifically the Biblical devil, rules over people’s minds, and you don’t have to go back in history much to cover these things). Sadly, I think that is the strongest proof for God’s existence these days.

No thanks-
I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying here, I prefer logic over a million year old book that's been written and changed thousands of times by white straight men. Not a reliable source. And Satan's a cool theory .-. buttt it legitimately makes so sense. Period. So this conversation is done 👍

Okay, I won’t say much more, but I do feel like I must correct one thing. The Bible was not created by white men, and it certainly wasn’t changed by them. The Council of Nicea happened because pagan books were being worshipped with the regular Biblical books by many churches, and they had a council to carefully search the history behind the books and decipher which ones were actually from the Hebrew times and from the times around Jesus, so that individual churches wouldn’t deviate into non-Christian or gnostic oblivion. It was never about controlling people and certainly wasn’t driven by feelings or political agendas. Also, the race or political beliefs of someone who wrote something still doesn’t disprove anything either. Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar were both written about by white straight men for a long long time, because that was their heritage and the belief of the time.

Yes yes ik.
Jesus is from Israel. Sorry.

Lemme correct myself, the bible was tweaked by white straight men. I doubt there's an existing bible that has what the original ppl wrote down .-. cuz humans are dumb and it's strange how ppl can trust a thousand yr old book that's not even the original.

that’s a post-modern idea and is not really supported in any religions except certain polytheistic religions that are not dominant in america, which means it can only stem from post-modernism if you’re in america. And post-modern ideas are essentially all hostile to God. It’s really disturbing that a religion teacher would say such a thing, but then again, I would consult teachers of several different specific religions over a “religion teacher” since that name sounds atheistic. “Religion teacher” means they’ll treat all religions like they’re equal, so if one actually turns out to be the way, they’ll gloss over it. So you can’t treat all religions equally unless you don’t take them seriously.
