there once was a ship that put to sea

and the name of the ship was a billy of tea

The winds blew hard her bow dipped down, oh blow by bully boys blow!!

some day the wellerman goes to bring us suger tea and rum

she not been two weeks from shore

when down on her, a right whale bore

the captain called all hands and swore

He'd take that whale in tow

Soon may the wellerman

to bring us sugar and tea and rum

one day when the tougin is gone

we'll take our leave and go
