I'm sorry to hear this. Were you able to find other options of a service to attend for Christmas? I felt similar at the start of the pandemic, like our church had betrayed us for her sake of a false sense of security.

Aww, thank you. My family just did a small, short thing on our own, and I felt really lucky with all my relatives there with me, celebrating together. I'm sorry you've been going through similar stuff. :(
Well, my church just announced there won't be any remote option for Christmas Eve service and not even a video. I cried halfway through the VIDEO SERVICE which they have a whole system set up for. I just feel so betrayed by them, anyone who was involved in that decision. I thought I'd be able to go in person this year, but instead I don't even get a video from my own church. And how many other people feel the same way as me?! My family is putting up decorations today and I don't know if I can even enjoy it I'm so heartbroken.
