I can be an utter failure without not doing my work

u do work for good grades
u use ur good grades for collage
u use collage for studying on a topic
u use what you learned from studying to a job
u use ur job for money
u use ur money for a house
u use ur house for living

First off, im not going to college, second you can get a job without a college degree

still
if u go to collage and learn a lot and manage to discover or make something then you would be very successful

who cares about success- tbh i'll probably be dead before then anyway

so ur saying being non successful in school doesn't matter
