Before you tell how it’s been so long since I’ve added to the story.. I know. It’s a short one today, sorry.

It had been two weeks since Sky, Stardust, and their still unknown friend landed on the jungle planet. The air was apparently toxic to both Sky and their friend so they both were often wearing their full armor, helmets and everything. Stardust for some reason, was unaffected by the toxic air. The thick jungle made for good practice at dodging obstacles and hunting.

Since there wasn’t another dragon to teacher her, Sky had managed to make a hologram of a dragon, based on both Stardust herself, and normal human legend. The hologram could fly, but not hunt since it wasn’t really there. Stardust learned quickly, surprising both Sky and his friend. Soon Stardust was even flying faster than Sky’s star fighter and she became a very successful hunter. She didn’t eat most of her kills since she didn’t need too, but Sky and his friend ate on the ship. She had started to grow but it would be a long time before she got larger than Sky’s starship.

Stardust was out for her usual flight “training” when something weird happen. Flying just suddenly felt too easy, like the wind was always pushing her forward. That’s when she noticed something. She stopped flapping he wings while she was still airborne. The wind changed direction again and it was now pushing against her wings to keep her suspended in the air.

“What the heck? How am I—“

“I’m honestly baffled. At first glance I thought you learned how to levitate or fly without flapping your wings which seemed weird. However, noticing the air currents are shifting around you in a manner that doesn’t really seem to be possible, it looks like you’ve discovered another ability you could use.”

Sky was walking nearby and saw her. Stardust wasn’t startled though, she knew his mind and could feel it 20 miles away now. The range of her mind abilities seems to be growing larger as she grew both more powerful, and in height.

“I wonder if I can actually do this without manipulating the air currents…”

“It’s possible you can, I wouldn’t be surprised anymore…”

“Maybe another time. I’m returning to the ship.”

“Alright, I’ll meet you there then.”

Before Stardust returned to the ship, she caught a creature that looked like a deer, and with her new ability, she no longer struggled to carry it back to the ship. Sky arrived much later. He hauled in some carbon and some building materials. They sat in the ship together, planning on what to do next. It was decide that they would try a more open area in two weeks. For now, Stardust would continue her training in the forest.
