mg42 is awesome, but AK-47 is more portable

AK-47 is better than the mp-40 by far though

depends on situation and condition and what type of ak also since you have russian chinese and many many copies of it but you also have other german weapons which is also better than most average russian and american service weapons

more complicated doesn't necessarily mean better, AK is very reliable

I know a decent amount about German versus Soviet engineering, I used to study ww2 tanks a lot

i will give germany this there tanks was a little advance for the time but that came at a cost of extra resources and since it was mass produced made it harder to mass produce spare parts since war uses alot of materials but the only thing the soviets had over germany was that they could handle harsher conditions compared to the german tanks since soviet tanks are in the cold constantly

The Germans also built their tanks like fine jewelry, but the Soviets would almost literally just throw theirs together, which helped speed things up.

And yeah, a lot of the issues came from the German tanks suspension (overlapping wheels that clogged with mud that froze and were hard to clean) and the transmission that just wasn't enough to handle the weight.

If they would've focused more on the StuG III, the Pz. IV, and to a lesser extent the Panther, they would've been a lot better off.

yeah i would agree they could have done better with there tanks but there tanks was hefty as hell and could pack a major punch into a t 37 once they get the chance ive seen simulation vids of there armor penetration and what they could do with there massive canons

Oh yeah, beautiful machines, very deadly, but totally unnecessary. Now that I think about it, they could've used the Jagdpanther for stuff like that cause it had the long 88mm gun, and it was cheaper than a Tiger or Tiger II to produce.

That being said, Tiger 1 is still my favorite tank, it just looks so cool
