Maybe you should actually get to know some of those Republicans before you make inaccurate blanket statements about them.
Conservatives contribute more to charity far more than the left does. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/giving-back-_n_3781505. They do try to explain it away because a higher percentage of conservatives are Christians and they contribute to their churches but that is still a charitable act. Most churches donate to causes all over the world to help the poor and to provide food, clothing and education to impoverished countries. So trying to rationalize it away by taking churches out of the picture is just wishful thinking.
I know the church I belong to has spent billions on helping the poor around the world. They have recently teamed up with the Catholic church who has a very strong infrastructure already in place for helping people. My church has farms and textile plants that were created just to provide food and clothing for the needy. We have our own welfare system. We have members show up at every natural disaster in the free world where we are allowed to help.
So you really should do some research before you start criticizing people you know nothing about.
