Honestly they are probably doing the best they can, there are probably an absolute ton of flags and they can’t see every single side of the story. They have a life outside of imgflip, I have my hands full modding the small amount of streams I mod now. The best way to avoid getting banned is to make sure you don’t look like the agresor.
For example, you might go to a users image and say something rude because they have been spamming you constantly, then deleting their comments. The mod would only see you going on the users image unprovoked and harassing the user, not the previous bit where they harassed you. The mod would proceed to give you some sort of punishment.
The best way to avoid a situation like that is thinking before you comment and making sure a situation can’t be taken as you being the agresor.

This is exactly how it feels to moderate certain streams such as the Cyan_Official stream (less hard now) and the Roblox stream (there's so many images being sent I can't approve many)

The cyan_official stream also got taken over twice, and also the roblox streams mods have gotten less active

People also blame mods for not seeing things that they don’t flag, like how are they supposed to delete something if they don’t see it?
I’ve found that if I have a real problem that extends past the streams I control, and stays around for more than a day, site or global mods can be extremely helpful. However they will only help if it’s a serious problem, and not one I can solve myself.
I take screenshots, and make sure I don’t seem aggressive. Never comment first, if the user reacts with insults never stoop to their level, make it clear that you are trying to be reasonable. Don’t get baited into an attack

To save streams you just have to be extremely careful about who to give owner, and make sure they all have good passwords on their accounts
Also don’t allow mods to do account sharing

I have a bad password but nobody hacks me
Why? Because my password has information almost nobody would guess (unless your some hacker)

When the password is too weak, I use an uncommon word with some numbers

I usually use a memorized sequence of numbers

I agree with what you’re saying, but if it’s an argument just comment ban both users or all that were involved, not just the one who was flagged. That’s what pisses me off is that if I’m comment banned the other person walks free. But the underage users thing…they don’t do ANYTHING about it

He is usually the first mod I look for if I need to talk to a community mod

I just handle it myself and get comment banned but it gets the job done well enough, I might switch up my methods tho

I only get community mods if
1. The user is harassing someone in streams I can’t control
2. The owners of the stream either won’t help or I can’t get ahold of them/it’s in an official stream
3. The problem has persisted for over 24 hours and the user getting harassed has tried to stop them

Ah I see. You mod some big streams. Personally my battles happen in fun where I have no control over owners or anything. One time I got comment banned for FOUR MONTH OLD COMMENTS
