Likes on this site are called upvotes
1 upvote on your meme gives you 40 points
If someone upvotes your comment you get 30 points
If you submit an image to a stream you get 22 points
If you comment on an image (only works once) you get 2 points
That’s the upvote part
Now the rest
When you get a certain amount of points you get new icons, for example I think your next one is at 3,000 or 4,000
Then it increases, 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k, 50k, 60k, etc…
The more points you get the more points it takes to get your next icon.
For example, my next icon comes at 6 million points, then it will take 3 million more points for me to get my next icon, then another 3 million after that.
The icons always have a color code order that they go in, the color order is white, yellow, orange, blue I think.
Leaderboards
On this site there is a weekly leaderboard and an all time leaderboard
The weekly leaderboard tells you how many points a certain user has made within the past 7 days, the all time leaderboard shows the top users of all time on the site, for example, I am the 13th most popular user of all time on this site.
If you are looking for the weekly leaderboard you can find it by going to the imgflip home page, and depending on what device you are on you can find it in different ways. If you are on mobile there is a dropdown button near the top, click that and it will show you, if you are on pc just scroll down a bit and it will be there. (I’ll include a picture)
The way to see the all time leaderboard is to go to the far left side when you are on your profile and click on “top users”
When a 1 shows up next to your profile where your comments, images, and featured images are, it means you have gained your first follower.
