Pronouns don’t equal gender, I’m non binary but I use she/they pronouns

I had a teacher last year who did this
They were girlflux or demigirl or something, I didn’t ask, I was just happy to have another trans teacher (well at that point I didn’t know another teacher was she/they so to me they were the first trans teacher)
I’m a lot like them now but I prefer she to they, idk if I’m girlflux or omnigender

How is it weird? Pronouns don’t equate to gender (most people’s opinion), I’d like to hear your opinion on the matter. No judgement, I just like to hear everyone who I disagree with’s opinion.

You cant say “ I’m a girl” but want people to refer to you as they/them. Either you’re a girl or you’re non-binary. Decide.

So you think that pronouns are a part of gender, I don’t think that are because I don’t believe in gender stereotypes or requirements, to be honest I believe gender is what you feel comfortable with identifying as, some people don’t feel comfortable identifying as non-binary and still prefer they/them pronouns, I guess that’s the opposite opinion of yours, but they’re both opinions so neither is wrong

Pronouns were originally made from gender but you really can use whatever you want. This community isn’t about making sense, we’re about making people comfortable.

They used to not be allowed as singular, I use they about as much as he and she, maybe more.
