To be honest tell their parents, you should tell them to treat this as if the life of their child could be on the line. Tell them there’s no time to screw around and maybe try to let their child try things out. Tell them that even though they might not approve, if it makes their child happier, they should do it (to a degree)

Based on the parents ways of thinking according to what has been said, this won’t be effective, they’ll think that it made them confused and now they don’t know what helps and what doesnt

I NEED HELP WITH MY FRIEND. SHE GOES TO THE SCHOOL COUNSELLOR (COZ SHE DEPRESSED) AND SHE TOLD THE COUNSELLOR THAT SHE WENT TO THE LGBTQ+ SOCIETY AT MY SCHOOL. THE COUNSELLOR TOLD HER PARENTS, AND THEN THEY BANNED HER FROM GOING. THEY SAID “IT WILL MAKE YOU MORE CONFUSED” MY FRIEND CAME OUT TO ME AS A PANSEXUAL A LITTLE WHILE BACK, AND HER PARENTS ARE KINDA HOMOPHONES. THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD SUPPORT HER IF SHE WAS GAY, TRANS, BI ETC… BUT THEY AREN’T HELPING HER WHEN SHE NEEDS THEM TO. I’M REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HER, BECAUSE IN THE LGBTQ+ CLUB, IT MAKES US FEEL WELCOMED, SURROUNDED BY OUR COMMUNITY, AND IT HELPS DISCOVER WHO WE ARE/ OUR IDENTITIES BECAUSE WE DISCUSS THINGS LIKE THAT. IT DOESN’T MAKE US CONFUSED, IT HELPS US. I REALLY WANT TO SUPPORT HER, BUT I DON’T KNOW HOW. SHE’S ONE OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS.
