Instead of trying to fix my ship, I could abandon it, take my business that you obviously don't want elsewhere, and hire a different one. I'm certain somebody on this dustball flies routes into the Republic, and that means they have a use for Republic currency. And that means you're still stuck with rare and therefore hard-to-sell ship parts taking up floor space in your shop. Uhhhh...
