i usually just shade first, i can kind of see the drawing in my head
i just shade first and then i draw the rest out

It takes me like 5 do eye shading, coloring, and the eye itself-

i can go to over 13 if kleki wasn't so limited in layers

The less layers the better imo

Though most of my background/foreground drawings can take around 20-38 lqyers depending on detail (not including shading)

i mostly stick 2-5 layers together to get more space for other layers.

i dont use layers-
