Once, a long time ago, there was a frog. He lived in the backyard of a fancy house, perfectly content. But one day, as the temperature dropped, and he found it harder and harder to find food. He was on the verge of starvation when he saw a dog and cat walking along the street, with sacks of assorted meat on the dogs back. He begged them to share the food they had with them, and in turn the frog would let them stay in the house when he was able to get in, and the dog and cat agreed.



For another week the dog and cat would stop by the frog and give him food, and each time the frog thanked them and promised to return the favor. For two weeks the frogs plan worked, whenever the humans left to work he would sneak food from the kitchen. But then one day he got cocky, and stayed in the kitchen to long. The humans caught him and kicked him out.

The temperature was even colder when the frog got outside, but this time the dog and cat, mad at the frog for not keeping his promise, didn't give him food this time. The frog tried his best but was still unable to find food. The frog, regretting his choice to break his promise with the cat and dog, died cold and hungry.
