I actually like most of the recent Pokémon, heck, Ultra Sun was the game that got me in the series in the first place!
I do like the older Pokémon, but there are some “stupid looking” ones in the original games, too! Jynx and Mr. Mime are just two examples of those! No, the Pokémon do not match the way that YOU think they should look, but they aren’t meant to! Every Pokémon is designed to look unique! It’s the appeal of “Gotta Catch em’ all!” You want to collect all the unique Pokémon! And sometimes the Pokémon are MEANT to look “stupid.” Just look at the Ultra Beasts!
Don’t judge games that weren’t specifically targeted at YOU. It’s rude to the people who actually like the new Pokémon, and the people who designed them!
If you don’t like the new Pokémon, go grab a gameboy and a copy of one of the older generations of Pokémon! Don’t play games you dub as “stupid looking.” And the reason they removed the National dex is because they reimplemented past Pokémon in a new way in Sun/Moon. Look at the Alolan forms of the Pokémon! And in Sword/Shield, they also have Galarian forms of old Pokémon AND the regular Pokémon, so there was no NEED for a National dex!
