I have a theory in the first Pokemon episode of the indigo League Ash gets shocked by Pikachu and normally that's a lot of lightning so any normal person would have died but I think that he actually died cuz and he might be a ghost because throughout his adventures he forgets who most of his traveling companions are like Serena and he's always forgetting about Pokemon knowledge so this claims that Ash died and he's trying to regain his knowledge in possessing his dead body
