Chaos lives on Earth AND the Shadow Realm. His soul stays in the Shadow Realm though, his body lives on Earth but he can create a rift to go back between both dimensions. If he goes through a different dimension, his soul will become unstable, colliding with following dimensions he visits, causing them to explode. Upon exploding afterwards, Chaos will vanish back to the Shadow Realm to regenerate and maintain his proper form
